Laura Beth, known to her patients and their families as LB, is a licensed professional clinical counselor in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She currently works at a partial hospitalization program and enjoys doing short-term stabilization therapy with children and teens. She operates out of a narrative therapy, feminist-focused base and her favourite tagline is: “remember to be human.” To her, therapy is about becoming the editor of your story and discovering and rediscovering the deep knowing that you belong in this world and community.
LB works exclusively with young people and the adults who care for them. She is passionate about treating suicidal symptoms and self injurious behaviors. She loves being a mental health educator and working on breaking the stigma around mental health-- after all, we don't know something until we learn it through being taught. Her past work includes hospital and residential levels of care.
In her free time, LB loves reading, watching documentaries, traveling, and continuous learning. She writes and publishes poetry as a way to process her own life and feelings.
She is available for speaking engagements and consultation. Please use the contact section of this website or click the "send me a message" button below to inquire further.
